As a creative village pastor, Béla Csekes established and maintained excellent foreign relations for the benefit of his fellow pastors who were experiencing difficulties. He spoke several languages. He visited America and Canada, served in Bečej (Óbecse) in Hungary, and then returned to his small homeland. My aim is to raise public awareness of his life’s work and publicise the magazine he published, Református Világszemle (Reformed World Review), which provides an excellent insight into the situation of the Reformed Church in Romania in the 1930s.
